Composer – Film: Milo, The Best & The Brightest

Composer Ted Masur works primarily in film and television. His recent film credits include Milo (Duplass Brothers Productions) and The Best & The Brightest (starring Neil Patrick Harris). He has written additional music for network shows, including One Life To Live, Close To Home, and Cold Case, and he is a contributor to Diamond Mine Productions, the primary provider of underscore for several CBS nightly shows. Ted currently serves as Composer-In-Residence with the VYMA Music Project, an El Sistema-inspired strings program in Pasadena, CA. He is featured in Michael Redman's recent book, The Best Jobs in the Music Industry. Ted's creative process finds its focus in interconnection - the common tones across practices ranging from music composition to education to social justice and environmental action. In addition to his work as a composer, Ted teaches creative musicianship and composition, and he has given guest lectures/masterclasses at UCLA extension and CSULB. Ted draws from a wide variety of musical influences, and is classically trained, with degrees from Yale and Indiana Universities.
